Edit Post
Charlotte NC - The Charlotte Fire Department Auxiliary will hold its 2nd Annual Charlotte Pancake Breakfast this Saturday June 16 @ Atherton Mill and Market Southend.
This event is a fundraiser for the CFD Auxiliary, which is a non-profit organization that supports Charlotte Firefighters, family members, and charitable organizations. Pancakes will be locally sourced to the best of their ability and will be served from 8:30am to 10:30am. $5 for an order of pancakes, coffee, juice and a variety of delicious toppings from the market. Last year the Auxiliary raised $800 and this year they hope to double that amount.
Proceeds from this year’s event will be donated to the Urban Restoration, a non-profit charitable organization devoted to providing a host of resources for the poor in Charlotte. “These funds will go towards summer camp (Camp Courageous) scholarships for at risk children who might not otherwise be able to attend” said Colin Pinkney, Executive Director of The Urban Restoration. Please spread the word, come out, and support a fun event for a great cause. Fire trucks (including the "Pink Lady") and fire fighters will be onsite and they’ll have great outdoor seating so you can stay a while or if you need to get them to go they will accommodate!
Eternally committed to duty and service,
