Fire Communications received a single phone call reporting this fire prompting the dispatch of firefighters to a large two-story wood frame six unit condominium. Smoke could be seen blocks away by responding firefighters and they arrived just 6 minutes after being dispatched. Upon their arrival firefighters were confronted with heavy smoke & fire conditions and immediately mounted an aggressive fire attack by deploying multiple hoselines. Only 2 of 6 units were occupied at the time of the fire, the remaining units were vacant. Two families were displaced, at least one them were receiving assistance from the local chapter of the Red Cross. 1 Firefighter sustained a minor injury and was treated on scene; there were no injuries to civilians.
