Incident #10-0127396
Structure fire 4112
Pine Grove Circle
April 25, 2010
12:46 pm
On Sunday, April 25th at 12:46 pm (11) units from the Charlotte Fire Department including (4) Engine Companies, (2) Ladder Companies, (1) Heavy Rescue Company, (2) Battalion Chiefs, (1) Deputy Chief, and (1) Fire Investigator were assigned to a reported structure fire at the Atlantic Bolt Company located at 4112 Pine Grove Circle. Battalion 1 was first to arrive at 12:48 pm, reported heavy smoke issuing from a large single story warehouse, and declared a working fire. With this, additional crews were dispatched to the scene to assist in bringing the fire under control. Firefighters forced entry into the building and were faced with heavy smoke and high heat conditions. Crews established a water source by using a nearby fire hydrant and quickly advanced a hose line to knockdown the fire. Other crews searched the building for occupants, but found no one. (32) Firefighters were called to knockdown the fire and bring it under control in 13 minutes. Fire investigators said the cause of the fire was accidental and caused an estimated $60,000 in damage. No one was hurt.
