Incident Synopsis
Around 1 pm Monday afternoon firefighters were called to service for a reported apartment fire at the Tree Top Condominiums in South Charlotte. FF’s from nearby Station #20 arrived on the scene and declared a working fire. Working together, FF’s from Engine 20 & Engine 12 engaged the blaze in the kitchen and rescued an elderly female who had succumb to smoke conditions. The patient was treated on-scene and transported to an area hospital for further evaluation. Twenty-seven FF’s were summoned to the scene of this fire that was controlled in about 10 minutes, but not before causing an estimated $5,000 in damages.
