Incident Synopsis
Just before 6 am Thursday morning, FF’s were called to service for a reported house fire in South Charlotte. Firefighters from nearby Station 9 were first to arrive and reported heavy smoke coming from this two-story home. While engaged in battling this blaze FF’s had to overcome a portion of the second floor giving way as a result of the fire. The fire was brought under control in about thirty minutes, but not before the blaze caused extensive damage estimated at $100K. This fire has been ruled intentionally set and Fire Investigators are asking for anyone with information in regards to this incident to call Crime Stoppers at 704.334.1600 or the Fire Investigation Task Force at 704.336.2922.
