Incident Synopsis
Shortly after 10 am Tuesday morning, FF’s were called to 11011 Thornhill Club Drive for a reported house fire. FF’s reported seeing heavy smoke from several miles away before arriving to find heavy smoke & fire coming from the rear and roof area of this two-story home. Because of the intensity of the blaze a 2nd Alarm was sounded which brought additional firefighters and equipment to the scene. A 3rd Alarm was transmitted after two firefighters were momentarily trapped after a partial structural collapse. One firefighter suffered a non-life-threatening traumatic injury as a result of this incident and was later transported to a medical facility. Another firefighter also suffered a non-life-threatening traumatic injury while engaged in fire ground activity and was also transported to a medical facility. As a result of this blaze the home was a total loss estimated in excess of $300K. In addition this incident displaced a family of four. The origin and cause of the fire remains under investigation.
