Incident Synopsis
Just before 3:00 pm Friday afternoon, a 4-door sedan crashed into a single story home resulting in significant damage to the structure. Within 10 minutes of their arrival members of the Charlotte Fire Dept were able to free the elderly male driver who was trapped in his car. The driver and a teenage male occupant of the home were transported to an area hospital for treatment of what appears to be non-life threatening injuries. The CFD’s Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) team that serves as a structural collapse company remained on scene Friday afternoon to ensure the stability of the structure.
